New Writing

Thank God for Bloc! Thank goodness for Blighty! This month we investigate what Blighty means to you, to all of us. At a war veteran's funeral, his widow ruminates on the 'green and pleasant land' for which he fought. Meanwhile we investigate England's ambivalent attitude to national pride, and sit in on a visit to Brighton that takes Britart to the bloody edge, earning our monthly prize. To get published on bloc next month, tell us what childhood means to you and send your work to editor@bloc-online.com.

Many thanks to Falmouth Bookseller and Truro Bookshop for providing prizes.
