Karen Miller
For as long as I can remember I have had a passion
for reading and writing. Since my teens I have kept
journals and written poetry, some of which has been
published in anthologies. I am on the Professional Writing
Course to develop my talent for writing.
I have spent the last three years teaching primary
school children and am developing ideas for children’s
fiction and educational resources. Working in a team
is something I thrive on but I am also very self motivated
and can work alone to meet deadlines. I have completed
work experience on a local paper and have been employed
in shops, offices, bars, restaurants and a toffee apple
factory! These life experiences coupled with travel
in Europe and Australia have given me an interest in
people and places that I hope to transfer to my writing.
